Manager, Information Security (US-based, work from home)
The Role The Manager, Information Security is responsible for managing a Firewall and VPN Operations team focused on monitoring and securing the Lumen Enterprise. Responsible for ticket queue management for firewall and VPN related tasks, maintain existing infrastructure, automating repetitive tasks and developing tools and dashboards, enabling self-service capabilities for engineers and users. This is a full-time, US-based remote/work-from-home role. The Main Responsibilities o Manage the team responsible for Corporate Firewall and VPN Operations o Develop and maintain metrics to prove effectiveness of process and toolsets o This position also assumes ownership and accountability in areas of recognized technical expertise and provides technical leadership, guidance, and assistance across different segments for the firewall and VPN environments o Recruit, hire, train, develop, and supervise the performance of information security professionals. Perform employee performance reviews and make compensation recommendations o Consult with internal clients on security topics and policy interpretation o Technical Design and Documentation - ensuring engineering, operations and process documentation exist and are updated o Responsible for responding to and investigate escalated security events o Identify trends based on operations escalations, metrics and develop requirements for automation o Work with cross functional leaders/teams in Security, IT, desktop support and the business to ensure firewall and VPN operations and tasks are completed What We Look For in a Candidate Qualifications o Understanding of detailed technical documentation including security and network diagram o Understanding network, compute, database, and middleware technologies as it applies to security protection technologies o Strong understanding of firewall and VPN processes and procedures o Comfortable leading discussion as well as presenting to leadership and other audiences o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related field or equivalent experience. o 5-7 years of networking firewall experience o 5-7 years of experience troubleshooting production firewalls o Experience with Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Juniper, Cisco security products o Ability to develop process documents o Potential for On-call required o CISSP / CCNP / CCSE certifications recommended but not required
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
