, is looking to hire a full-time Human Resources / Payroll Manager for our corporate headquarters located in Abbeville, Alabama.
As the Human Resource / Payroll Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll and human resource functions.
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll administration, employee benefits, personnel records management, and compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
This position requires a high level of accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities Supervisory role responsible for managing team members in the payroll and human resources department.
Process and administer payroll for approximately 300 employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations, while ensuring compliance with benefit plan requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, time and attendance records, and other HR-related documents.
Coordinate new employee onboarding processes, including conducting orientations and ensuring completion of required paperwork.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policies, providing accurate information and guidance.
Stay up-to-date with changes in labor laws and regulations, and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Collaborate with management to address employee relations issues and provide guidance on HR best practices.
Support the recruitment and selection process by assisting with job postings, screening candidates, and participating in interviews as needed.
Conduct exit interviews and assist in the offboarding process for departing employees.
Work closely with the accounting department to ensure accurate recording and reporting of payroll and benefit costs.
Qualifications:

years proven experience in payroll administration and human resource management, preferably in the transportation industry.
Experience using ADP Workforce Now Payroll Solution software.
Experience using Tenstreet or similar recruiting / employee record keeping software.
Experience using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
Strong knowledge of payroll systems, benefit administration, labor laws, and DOT regulations.
High School diploma required.
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Accounting related field a plus.

Pay and Benefits Competitive pay rates commensurate with education and experience.
Starting salary range $43,000 - $48,000 plus free (individual) health insurance coverage.
